D.J.Divine did a lot of studio productions and projects. He was a member of Smooth As Silk (1988-1993) Two songs which he composed and arranged for the opening act for RnB artist R.Kelly – handle me with Care (Artist D.Johnson 1994) and the song Affection (D.Johnson 1994) Cell block: Soul Provider 1997 and Early in the morning. D.J. Divine enhanced his skills. Doing beats basesynth and scratching. Later he did study music theory arrangement and compositions and made some smooth RnB and Jazz on his piano.This resulted in an opening act for R.Kelly in 1993
